Our Mission

Our mission is to equip companies with the most comprehensive, evidence-based, and tech-enabled mental health programs and solutions available.

Our social purpose is the driving force behind our business; we are constantly seeking out best-in-class mental health platforms and service providers within the overall ecosystem of health to bring about lasting change. By offering data-driven, custom-tailored mental health & wellness programs, we advocate for our clients by constantly striving for innovation, care, and efficacy.

Our Story

Founded in 2016, our brokerage quickly expanded within the Alberta marketplace, representing non-unionized construction companies who put an emphasis on building benefit plans with prevention and holistic health at their core.

As our team continued to grow with offices in Calgary, AB and North Vancouver, BC we built a reputation for offering best-in-class consultancy when it came to structuring mental health offerings within benefit programs, and for pushing the envelope forward within our industry in a meaningful way. This paradigm was at the core of our B-Corp certification in 2020, which we obtained as one of four brokerages Canada-wide and as the first all-female owned and operated one in Canada to do so.

In 2024, we became a part of the Sterling Brokers family, joining a rapidly expanding team of 200 with a coast-to-coast reach and with a reputation for being the leading force for technology within the employee benefits space.

As we evolve into this next chapter, we look forward to continuing to serve the people of Alberta and BC, and to bring our clients the most progressive health solutions in employee benefits in the most scalable fashion.

Our Team

  •  Founder & Managing Director

BA Psychology with 1st Class Honors, St. Francis Xavier University

A former two-time national champion in women’s rugby at St. Francis Xavier University, Beth’s collision with benefit plans started well before she started in employee benefits.

After completing her first-class honours degree in psychology and having her undergraduate thesis on human motivation published in an academic journal, Beth went on to found MB Group with a vision of launching the employee benefits industry into a new realm of mental health.

As the CEO and Founder, Beth led MB Group from a start-up brokerage to one of the fastest growing brokerages in the country – seeing her employee-owned team from inception through to it’s merger with Sterling Brokers.

Beth acts as the Managing Director and principle broker for MB Group, advising and brokering on behalf of companies who are champions of their employees and who are looking to drive meaningful health results through their benefit programs.

  • Senior Director of Account Management, Founding Team member

As part of the original Founding Team of MB, Anna created structures that helped the firm become what it is today.

From overseeing processes, implementing changes, handling new sales and beyond, Anna thrives in diversity.

Having grown up in Poland, Anna came to Canada at the age of 14 and has been working in the insurance industry since 2014. She enjoys thinking outside the box and helping to make group benefits more accessible. She loves the energy of the MB team and the collective drive of the group in re-envisioning the way benefits have been traditionally done.

From her home base in North Vancouver, Anna enjoys hiking, exploring the North Shore and the beautiful province of British Columbia. Taking care of her mental health means making time for physical exercise such as yoga or pilates, and ensuring proper nutrition.

She says: “If you push your mental health aside, it is as if you were pushing yourself aside.” Her vision is for individuals to put their well-being first - however that looks for each person - and thrive in their workplaces as a result.

A graduate and former scholarship athlete in hockey at St. Francis Xavier University, Alley joined the MB team in 2019.
